WHAT IS TINNITUS?
Tinnitus is a medical condition characterized by a ringing, buzzing, whistling or hissing sound in the ear. It is often a symptom of an underlying condition, like exposure to excessive noise, use of certain medications or head or neck injury. For some these sounds may be intermittent however, some sufferes experience it constantly throughout the day. Tinnitus is also a side effect of hearing loss. Research has shown that over 80% of individuals with hearing loss experience tinnitus.

HOW DO YOU TREAT IT??
Presently, there is no single cure for tinnitus, however the Audiologists at P. M. Naidoo & Associates are experienced at providing means to alleviate your symptoms. Once  a hearing test is completed, your Audiologist will discuss options that can help alleviate your symptoms.
